We are Marleine and Daniel.

We are Toronto based wedding and elopement photographers + videographers. Daniel has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in New Media Production whereas, Marleine took a different academic route and obtained a Bachelors degree in Human Biology and Psychology, and Masters in Social Work. However, our shared passion for art, photography, and creativity brought us together to form Desali Studios.

    Marleine is the photographic heart of our team. From a young age she loved taking photos and always knew her true calling was capturing moments through the lens. It all began in high school when her best-friend was planning on taking family portraits and their photographer cancelled last minute. Marleine was called to the rescue! The photo remains in the families home. Marleine is a perfectionist and loves working with people! She will ensure you feel comfortable in front of the lens and not only have amazing memories but a great experience doing so. 

Beyond the lens, we share a love for coffee, which has become an art form in our lives. Marleine's barista background and Daniel's espresso mastery create the perfect blend to fuel our creative endeavors. We are avid travellers, explorers of new foods at the St. Lawrence Market, marathon enthusiasts, and loyal fans of How I Met Your Mother. Family and friends hold a special place in our hearts and have been so supportive of the creation of our art.

    Daniel is the filmmaker of our duo. He approaches his craft with intention, creating films that are not just visually stunning but also deeply meaningful. Daniel's dedication lies in weaving a narrative that pulls emotions and creates a timeless cinematic experience for couples to cherish forever.
